Independent presidential candidate Dr. Cornel West will participate in a candidate’s panel sponsored by the Libertarian Party of California at its 2024 state convention. West will join fellow independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was announced earlier this month as a panelist and guest speaker for the event.
“Dr. West will be participating in the second POTUS Candidate Panel taking place on Sunday evening alongside Libertarian Party candidate Mr. Jacob Hornberger. The Libertarian Party of California is proud to be the first state affiliate in the country to give Libertarian POTUS candidates the opportunity to engage in dialogue with a presidential candidate outside of the Libertarian Party,” the Libertarian Party of California said in an email sent Saturday afternoon.
West is the second independent presidential candidate and the seventh candidate overall who was either confirmed to attend or announced they are attending the Libertarian Party of California’s 2024 state convention, according to research by Independent Political Report.
On Saturday morning, four Libertarian Party presidential candidates will briefly address convention attendees individually during the business session. These four candidates are Dr. Michael Rectenwald, Mike ter Maat, Dr. Jacob Hornberger, and Dr. Charles Ballay. Libertarian presidential hopeful Joshua Smith has also stated on social media that he will be in the convention audience. Following the business session, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is scheduled to address attendees during the lunch break.

Losertarians. They are anti-conservative.
Then Gary Johnson came out in favor of more carbon taxes -- leaving Trump as the only one on the general ballot not in favor of more carbon taxes.
Cornel needs respectfully,to go on home.
With Cornel West, a renowned left-wing, progressive activist and major Obama supporter they have demonstrated they are not only anti-MAGA but very far left.
If Tater Swuft doesn’t tell her Kindergarten Rock Fans to vote for Corney West, she’s a racist.
Back in the 1970’s, when I was active with the Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), a conservative organization, we were constantly battling attempts by the Liberaltarians to infiltrate and take over YAF. They wanted to get YAF to support the issue dearest to their hearts, the legalization of psychotropic drugs.
Third parties can be strange. They’ve nominated some very unlikely candidates just to get enough votes to keep their place on the ballot for next time. The Libertarians don’t have that problem, though. They are just inviting him to their get together. He won’t be the nominee. But will Kennedy?
West isn’t going to hurt Trump.
My position as a supporter of the 45th President during the Republican primaries & caucuses, is “the more the merrier.”
I’m maintaining this position through the General Election.
In the early 1970’s I knew some YAFers in the Chicago area.
Did you know any of them?
Losertaeians are a rat weapon. West is an obvious Green party candidate. West as the Green Presidential candidate would destroy Biden chances so somehow he got shoehorned into the Libertarians.
If the Libertarians can get a candidate with a following as their presidential nominee, it helps them with ballot access in the next election cycle. I’ve thought it very possible that they nominate RFK, Jr. for POTUS.
And I thought Johnson/Weld was about the least libertarian ticket the Libertarian Party could have nominated.
Gary Johnson: And what is Aleppo?
I hope West gets as many votes as possible. He will only draw from Biden voters.
West doesn’t stand a chance. Africans will go with the white boy. He’s their best chance to get them what they want like “reparations” and more George Floyd BLM Walmart Doorbusters.
