The one difference here is the local support available to the Federal Government AND the amount of time they have to prepare.

DC was the perfect place to pull off the fake insurrection nonsense. FBI, Capitol Police, DC police et al were all primed and ready. In Texas, they aren’t so well prepared or able to martial in the numbers that would be needed to doxx, subvert or arrest, IMO.

Yeah, I think this will probably be your standard event with a few feds mixed in, but no real problems.

The big-ger difference is they wouldn't be congregating in one single spot as in DC, that was easily declarable as a specifically RESTRICTED property. Stay on unrestricted general public accessible or private properties they should be able to parade all they want. Chasing these people down, prosecuting them over the exercise of free speech & assembly would be a reach too far, and hard to justify by any definition.
