They sure get fiercely angry when a prominent Black leaves their plantation.
National Review hating on Scott because he is Black and VR because he is brown? Such racist judgement. Both these men are more Patriotic than the entire staff at this rag of a newspaper
Tim doesn’t deserve the cruel words.
William Buckley is crying in his grave.
National Review is completely irrelevant. And run by wusses.
NRO has apparently never heard of Andrew Jackson, or Warren Harding, or Teddy Roosevelt, or Harry Truman or LBJ or Dick Nixon...all guys who became President and weren’t the most genteel of politicians.
NRO: glad I cancelled my subscription YEARS AGO.
the pervy vision is just sooo gross
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwww!!!!
Sounds like a terminal case of TDS - they need to find a new country to move to preferably communist
“Sounds like a terminal case of TDS - “
Agreed. I can’t believe there are people who still actually pay for their articles.
No matter what NRO says, that scene with Tim Scott was cringeworthy. Trump was kind of a dick to put Scott into that position. Scotts response was weak.
Long before this primary cycle I knew who Ramaswamy was and considered him someone of substance and worth — who is this twerp Schneider and who give a F-—?
“Long before this primary cycle I knew who Ramaswamy was and considered him someone of substance and worth — who is this twerp Schneider and who give a F-—?”
I’d never heard of Schneider either but apparently he is part of the NRO “consultants conserving conservatism crowd” and feels as if he has some sway on the voters opinions.
I remember the time Rush used the phrase “barf alert” on his show. I don’t remember the details, but it was in response to some piece of liberal idiocy.
He definitely lurked here. It was not uncommon for something to be posted here and soon thereafter, Rush would use it on his show. FR is a great resource!
The spirit of antichrist has possessed the Deep State and all top teir democrats.
Jesus defeated satan at the cross.
So his reign is close to an end.
That’s why he is so active, he knows his end is near.
Mark Levin used it for a platform to diss Trump until he had an epiphany.
Vivek is a natural born citizen (NBC).
Vivek Ramaswamy was born on August 8, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents who were in the U.S. legally but not U.S. citizens. The SC has ruled that someone who is born on U.S. soil is an NBC if at the time of his birth, his parents were in the U.S. legally but not U.S. citizens.
Therefore, according to the mandatory legal authority of sound constitutionally-based SC ruling and precedent, Vivek is an NBC.
Detailed argument
Since around 1900, U.S. Supreme Court (SC) rulings have become less and less valid because SC has gradually moved away from basing their decisions on the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended. But their ruling on NBC appear to be based on sound application of the Constitution.
NBC is a legal issue.
In Perkins v. Elg, 99 F. 2d 408, Court of Appeals, Dist. of Columbia Circuit 1938, the Court of Appeals noted as part of the basis for their decision that...
United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649, 18 S. Ct. 456, 42 L. Ed. 890, 1898 [found that] {W]hen the Constitution was adopted the people of the United States were the citizens of the several States for whom and for whose posterity the government was established. Each of them was a citizen of the United States at the adoption of the Constitution, and all free persons thereafter born within one of the several States became by birth citizens of the State and of the United States.
It appears the Supreme Court in Elg (1939) agrees with Ark (1898).
What matters is what the ratifiers of the Constitution considered an NBC was. Again, the Constitution is properly applied as written and ORIGINALLY UNDERSTOOD and intended.
The Supreme Court decisions based on the good-faith and sound finding of original understanding of NBC in the Constitution is, therefore, legal precedent concerning NBC. Thus, Vivek should be considered an NBC.
Some argue that the term "NBC" is not specifically used in Ark or Elg, but these cases revolve around citizenship based on birth on U.S. soil, which is exactly what NBC is. An NBC is a citizen automatically because he was born on U.S. soil. He is “naturally” and automatically a citizen needing no further processing to become a U.S. citizen. He became a citizen under “natural” (birth) circumstances, exactly as Elg, Ark, and now Vivek.
