That looks attractive but the three problems with that scenario are:
1) How do you bypass Harris without alienating the Black vote.
2) What will they do with Hillary?
3) I don’t see how the Obama wing supports this.

Both Newsom and Whitmer will bring in their own “crews” who want power and perks. This will clash with the present entrenched Zero crew. Hellary likely has dirt on all and will demand some sort of pay off.
If Frau Whitmer runs, the global supply of red lipstick will be hit hard.

I’m not sure it’s Newsome. But I suspect Biden goes thru the primaries and accumulates delegates. Then announces he is not running and releases the delegates. Between his delegates and the super delegates, the Obamas can select whoever they want.
They may even make Biden endorse their choice. If the next administration wanted, the whole Biden family could go to jail for many decades — Garland will do whatever they tell him to. So there is plenty of bargaining power if Joe doesn’t want to resign. (Creating that bargaining power is why I suspect that R’s are being allowed to start seeing small pieces of the evidence against the Bidens — they are doing Obama’s dirty work).
Harris will be a footnote after all the drama of 2024 and D voters pretty much do what they are told.
