Sounds like BS! All previous prisoner exchanges have used busses. Flying them into Ukraine sounds far fetched to me.

Uke twitterati were celebrating based on claims the plane was loaded with arms from Iran, then it came to light they killed 65 of their own soldiers.
The Ukes and Russkies have regularly exchanged prisoners. This flight was known to the Ukes. Either they majorly screwed up or they intentionally killed 65 of their own for a headline. But its kinda difficult to believe they launched 3 anti-air missiles into russkie airspace by accident.
Probably a better death for the POW’s than what awaited them upon being repatriated, though.
Wonder what their relatives are going through? First they hear their loved ones were missing/captured, then elated they were part of exchange, then told their gov killed them all minutes before that exchange was to occur. More likely they were told nothing, given the Ukes regularly hide the deaths of their men/bury in unmarked mass graves to avoid paying pensions/death benefits to the grieving families and keeping that $$$ for themselves. Such honorable allies.

The plane definitely was not carrying prisoners - only the 3 bodies of the crew were found.
But something or someone very important was on the plane - one rumor is the plane was loaded wit S-300 missiles, another rumor said Medvedev was on the plane.
