Yes, he came this morning while I was still asleep and when I didn’t wake up when he knocked, he called his dad (who is home sick with the flu) and had him call me. Fortunately this time I woke up when the phone rang. I didn’t hear it ring last week.
He said he did more troubleshooting, primed the pump, and it kicked on until it hit 80 psi, then kicked off like it’s supposed to do.
But I don’t think he waited around to see what would happen when the pressure slowly dropped back to 60 psi, which is when the pump should kick on again. He just came to the house to tell me I had water. I did but there definitely wasn’t as much water pressure as there should be. And not a half hour after he left, I had no water again.
I called John to tell him and as usual, I got his voicemail. And he obviously isn’t checking it while he’s sick because he never called back - - just like yesterday. I hope his son checked it whenever he got home and will come out tomorrow morning before the heavy rain gets here. Another night of going to bed early. *sigh*
I see a small patch of rain on the radar over your area that’s about to move off and another one south of you that MIGHT give you a little more.
We’re under a flood watch tomorrow through Thursday. NOT good if the well pump has to be replaced.
Yuck having to start off your trip home in the rain. At least it wasn’t raining for the whole trip.
I’ll bet the kitties were happy to see you. >^..^<
Well, what a mess that has become. I sure hope they get it fixed soon so you can not have to worry whether you’ll have water or not.
It was a bit nerve-wracking driving in heavy parts of the rain, but it’s so needed all over the state that I hate to complain. I’d love to get more here. So I hope that patch to our south hits the target here.
Wow! I canNOT believe that y’all are actually warmer than we are for a change. That must be feeling soooo good!
