Boeing doesn’t make engines. Also B737’s use the same engines as the Airbus A320 family (with minor differences for fitment)
They’re either CFM56’s in older A320’s and B737’s or CFM LEAP’s in the latest A320 NEO’s and B737 MAX’s.
Those engines are made by a subsidiary of GE and a French company. Very reliable.
Apparently the Delta Corporate memo regarding no more nuts on domestic flights made it down to maintenance.
calling maintenance: do you know anything about wheels?
I miss him.
You’re right, of course. And the maintenance would be the responsibility of the airline.
Thank God somebody saw it roll off the runway to telling what else was about to fall off.
Tower somebody lot an engine on the runway.
Some of those stews may still be flying as the the sky-hags of today. But, as you note, they're not the primary problem.
Howdy there NonRever !
I remember when I was about 9 or 10 years old We were on the way home to IAH and We went from CMH to ORD and then to LAX to IAH just so We could check out the 747 for the first time.
I was impressed with it’s massive size and the service. Even got a quick tour of the Flight Deck while We were at the Gate (back in the days when that was still possible.)
It was a welcome change from riding in Coach and the normal House Rules (put in place by Dad.)
Back when it was still nice to fly.
MAYBE...
I remember an article back in late ‘60s/early 70s showing a C5-A losing 4 tires on landing. The money quote was “Fortunately, it landed safely on the other 24 wheels.”
*************************************************
Yup. Don’t remember the incident but 6 tires per main, four mains, and four across on the nose.
The main gear were a nightmare.
I’m not a fan of Boeing, but this is on Delta’s maintenance crew.
A PSA capt. and Stew were my family’s neighbors in San Diego back in the early 70’s.. gave my brother a check ride once..
love the PSA commericals

#47 there is a Virgin airline ad that had transgender mentally ill men in it.
NOT Satire: This Is an Actual Ad From Virgin Atlantic

The owner is Richard Branson who owns an island near Epsteins island and had been a guest there. He has been referred as Epstein jr.
“im being an a hole because I watch every single thing they do.”
Yeah, well, I am an a hole and I won’t even take my car into a shop. Gone way beyond that. I only hire mobile mechanics to work on my vehicles at the house. I watch everything they do and question their actions if they don’t make sense to me. Although I have yet to need to do it I know I can always tell them to get the H off my property if they F up. I’ve found mobile mechanics are usually much better than shop mechanics as their pay is direct to them. It’s just not worth the gamble on a shop anymore. Too many are crooks.
At this point, it seems like sabotage.
