He wasn’t ready for a larger audience. He was stiff, defensive, couldn’t handle the press (something Trump EXCELS at). And the people running his campaign were awful. They gave bad advice and squandered 130 million bucks.
Maybe DeSantis can learn from this experience, but this may have doomed his 2028 chances. No one’s going to want to waste money on another national campaign given how much he blew this time.
You may be right. By '28, the donors may want to go with a new horse. Youngkin. Abbott. I wouldn't count DeSantis out though.
