No, after watching the body language when Senator Tim Scott and President Trump were together for Scott's endorsement yesterday, my money would be on him. President Trump is already polling extremely well with “minorities” and this would help consolidate that support.
Personally, I would hate to see Republicans give up another Senate seat, but losing Rand Paul who would be my first choice for VP would be worse.
He needs to be lining up, mentoring, working on his replacement to fill the governorship when he terms out.
