Since when is it the responsibility for a city to ensure houses are built and in what number? And how is it not an illegal taking from a property owner to refuse to let them use their property as normal?

Exactly...they want equalization of housing...nice neighborhood you got there...but it is too expensive...you need some affordable housing ...right next door we will build some “projects”

In most communities, the idea of city and/or county regulation of such matters is the purview of the planning and zoning board/commission. If the property is already zoned residential and the owner wants to remodel it, as long as the zoning doesn’t change, some judge has no business interfering with that process.

What does this judge really want? He ultimately wants cheap apartments disastrously interspersed with single family dwellings. Guaranteed increase in crime and disorder, IMO. I’m wondering if this judge’s bench is an elected position and he’s looking to increase the types of voters who’d actually vote for him.
