Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is emerging as a runner-up in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to recent polls and interviews in Iowa.
In an interview on NewsNation’s “On Balance,” host Leland Vittert posed a forward-looking question, asking if Haley, if nominated, would consider former President Donald Trump as her running mate.
Haley responded, “I’m not going to think about who’s going to be my VP yet, but in six months, I’ll be happy to tell you.”
Is Nikki Haley the top alternative candidate to Donald Trump? Haley’s team, which includes members from Florida Sen. Marco Rubio‘s 2016 campaign, is strategically targeting key counties in Iowa, such as Polk and Dallas County, where she aims to garner support from both Republicans and crossover Democrats and independents. Their goal is to perform well in Iowa and carry that momentum into New Hampshire and beyond.
During a rally in Iowa, Haley outlined her campaign strategy, stating, “Our goal is to make today better than yesterday. That’s it—strong in Iowa, strong in New Hampshire, strong in South Carolina, and keep it going from there.”
When asked about the challenge of appealing to both establishment Republicans and working-class Trump voters, Haley emphasized her focus on winning over a majority of Americans.

This is an actual article, written by an actual person, and somebody, somewhere chose this headline.
They live in an alternate reality, and thus, will continually be shocked.
“Posting just for the laughs.”
...you got plenty of those outta me
Leland Vittert used to think that he was someone.
She didn’t even get 2nd place.
Has anyone told her that yet?
I won’t even vote for Haley for President let alone care about who she would pick as her VP. She will never be President. She is a WEF young leaders graduate which tells you all you have to know about her.
Bwahhaaahahahaaaa! Thanks for the laugh!
Somebody found a hit of acid left over from the 70’s.
This is what it’s like when psychosis finds a publisher.
30 percent of Haley supporters would vote for Biden over Trump. Should tell you something.
I just want to take this opportunity...
to brag.
Early on in the Iowa caucus thread I made the case that Haley would underperform her polling numbers in Iowa.
When a poster asked why I believed that I explained that the cold and windy weather would deter Democrat dilettantes from putting down their lattes and heading out for the evening.
It did make me laugh...She’s become the RIGHTEOUS Town Clown.
I can’t see Trump accepting such a high profile position where he would be officially subordinate to anyone else.
Trump?… as HER VP?…
She isn’t fit to iron his shirts.
Hey nicki, would you let Dale Earnhardt read the map for you on your next road trip? .
Boy, talk about fanciful Unicorn dreams.
Thanks for the laugh!
But here’s something interesting:
1. Haley/Trump wins in 2024
2. Haley dies or otherwise after completing just over half of her first term
3. Trump completes the remainder of Haley’s four years (let’s say 728 days or almost two years)
4. Trump runs in 2028, wins and completes his “second” term, (2032) thus being U.S. President for a total of almost ten years.
Thanks for listening.
</guffaw!>
“I can’t see Trump accepting such a high profile position where he would be officially subordinate to anyone else.”
You mean you claim to see that Nikki Haley will actually be the Republican nominee? Did you notice she came in third, with only a few thousand votes?
