A United States Air Force fighter pilot training to be a Top Gun has been crowned Miss America.
Madison Marsh, 22, who comes from Fort Smith, Arkansas, won the top award at a ceremony in Orlando, Florida on Sunday night.
Second Lt Marsh was crowned Miss Colorado in May 2023 before competing in the finals to scoop the top award. Marsh is the first active duty officer from any branch of the military to represent at the national level of the Miss America organization.
This year's runner-up is Miss Texas, Ellie Breaux who would be called to step in if Marsh is unable to complete a full year of service.
Miss Indiana Cydney Bridges came third, Miss Kentucky Mallory Hudson placed fourth while Miss Rhode Island Caroline Parente came fifth.
Fifty-one contestants participated in the event, representing all 50 US states, as well as the District of Columbia.

My wife’s quick makeup product analysis:
At least 10 products used on the young woman’s face, including the fake eyelashes. Eyebrows plucked (and painted) to create the high pointed arch. The 1/4” of darker lipstick at the bottom edge of the lower lip, to give a fake shadow (for a fake plumper lower lip). Also, she is either standing on something, or wearing high heels of at least 5”.
My wife also said, “who wears a gown that has so much dragging the ground that it could be made into an 8-man tent?”
Her final comment: “live in reality, people!”
I don’t see how she can serve as Miss America and be in the military at the same time. I don’t think she could fulfill her obligations on both.
She’s in a beauty contest, she’s not showing up like that at work.

It happens many times with Olympic athletes (especially shooting sports). They are allowed to remain on active duty, but primarily pursue their sport, with some light and flexible Military duties.

Tall fighter pilots are the exception rather than rule. 5” heels are OK with me - except in the cockpit of an F-16.

Sounds like a major promo by the AF to recruit pilots since they are very short. No one wants to be a member of the woke military.

That’s my wife’s point. Beauty contests allow unnatural means (and lots of it) to be used. Hence her being real opinion.

For a white blond girl from Arkansas to get into Harvard, she has to have extraordinary intellect and talent.
