People used to actually dance like that........in public!............
Actually, made me think of my mom. Although I am sure her style was not quite like that, but her sister told me stories of her dancing the jitterbug at USO shows during the war. If she had a partner that could keep up with her the floor would clear and let them put on a show. Although legally deaf, she was one heck of a dancer.
