When Amalija Knavs passed away on January 9th, President Trump and his attorneys requested that Arthur Engoron, the judge presiding over Trump’s New York civil fraud trial, grant a postponement for closing arguments, so that the president could be with Melania as they mourned their family’s loss.
Engoron offered phony condolences, saying he was “sorry to hear the sad news,” but promptly denied the request, writing in an email to Trump’s counsel, “I WILL NOT GRANT ANY FURTHER EXTENSIONS.”
Trump-haters were quick to condemn the president for requesting a delay in court proceedings, claiming he was being “disingenuous” as he still had the time and focus to attend the Fox News town hall event last night. Yet to me, it’s as simple as prioritizing what matters most, and naturally, when you have to triage critical situations and allocate energy to what is most deserving, a sham trial in a kangaroo court is certainly the least of Trump’s concerns—especially when compared to things like mourning the death of a very close in-law, and courting the presidential vote in an extremely consequential election. Without loss there can be no fraud, and in a sane world that functioned lawfully and orderly, “Tish” James’s accusations would have been DOA; everyone knows this lawsuit is a joke, but for the Hegelian left, nothing is off limits if it means “get Trump” finally happens.
However, Trump asking for a postponement to grieve a death in the family, while also attending other events, is all beside the point. The real focus is the left’s utter disregard for decency, and a totally inverted sense of what deserves mourning.

Americans need to abandon all support of an obviously corrupt American legal system. These criminal scoundrels cannot be trusted AT ALL.

Melania’s parents lived at Mar a Lago in recent years, so they have been very close to President and Mrs. Trump.
They have to keep things moving, Biden wants Trump in jail.
Trump’s poll numbers will jump another 5 points.
All of them need to be disbarred and indicted. This is all about bankrupting Trump just like they did to Giuliani. They want to fine him half a BILLION dollars and for WHAT? For taking out a loan, paying it back with interest and creating 1000s of jobs? THIS is a priority to these scumbags while that city is getting buried in murder, rapes, robberies every day? The corruption is unbelievable! The Clinton live in New York, why aren’t they indicted for making $3.6 BILLION in Haitian aid money disappear?
A death in a person’s immediate family, no matter whose family, deserves a delay in court proceedings (especially illegitimate ones), because humanity is sacred, and making room for the bereavement of the loss of a loved one is what decent and civil societies do.
But, the Left doesn’t live by the rules of a decent and civil society, which is why leftists’ sense of what deserves mourning is indecent and uncivil.

Back when Trump was president, there were a lot of media stories about enforcement of immigration laws and, apparently, some families were being kept apart. Can you imagine the inhumanity of that? Democrats were very upset that families were not being allowed to gather together during such a stressful time. Such cruelty!

The judge lacks all compassion and empathy, and to think he is a judge, what an abhorrent perversion.

So showing up on Fox News to once again obsess over his awesome governor is really important because he needs to “court voters”, (I thought he was so far ahead in “muh polls”), but he tries to delay a court hearing that doesn’t even require his attendance so he can mourn with his wife, who hasn’t been seen by his side for ages and is apparently going by her maiden name.

The fox snews appearance had been scheduled way in advance, so he could not cancel and still be taken seriously as a candidate. But that means nothing to the TDS infected POS desanctomonious losers. And you know who I’m talking about.

The court date was scheduled in advance too, and Trump wasn’t even required to attend, so there’s that. Also, calling me a TDS infected POS will surely sway me to your point of view lolz.
