Howdy, luvie.

Did it warm up today or did it stay chilly?
Chilly here today and cold tonight.

Hey there, radu!

It was pretty cool all day, and the wind has been howling all day and made it feel cooler of course. And will be doing the same thing tomorrow. Not sure what will be blowing in, but It’s not fun for sure.

I just looked at your temp and brr! It is really cold there. You have the same temp as Anchorage. LOL! 20 degrees colder than it is here.

Hiya radu!

Nothing big happened to me this weekend, did my usual Sunday visit to see Robin, son and the pups. Our weather has been fairly mild although we should expect snow any week now.

Has your weather been that weird?

Stay warm and make sure the kittehs aren't causing too much trouble.

Hi Kathy, I quit watching the NFL after Kaepernick's kneeling stunt, and then the NFL embraced the BLM crap and I said enough.

But I am looking forward BIG TIME to the college championship game tomorrow, Go Huskies!

Just checked the deck...a good 2” so far and it’s still coming down. I’ll probably go shovel here shortly.

Not much luck getting caught up, but I am making progress.

Your pump house heater doing its job as it should? Yuck about bad winds!

You’re getting wind from the storm system that will blow through here soon. The center is well north of you, and will pass north of here, but it’s sucking in a lot of air as it moves across the country. At least the really cold air won’t come down this far south.

We be windy tomorrow but it’ll really kick up by this time tomorrow night, and it’ll be raining by then. They say this part of TN will get the strongest winds. Gee, thanks!

There’s a lot of concern about power outages because the trees are weakened by the lack of rain the past four months. Could be a lot of them falling over or dropping large limbs. I am NOT looking forward to this storm.

It’s cold but it isn’t supposed to drop much more overnight. And at least I don’t have the snow Kathy has.

Sounds like a pleasant weekend for you. And lucky you having mid weather.

It hasn’t been super-cold here but we’re getting one after another storm system through here every three or four days. And that’ll continue for another couple of weeks. The one getting ready to come through tomorrow night into Tuesday is gonna be a doozy. I don’t know who’s sending them over here but they need to stop! LOL

I don't watch the NFL either for the same reasons.

Two inches already? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it does look like it’s coming down at a good clip. And there’s still a lot more on the way. :-(

Sorry to hear you haven’t had a lot of luck catching up. You didn’t need the extra load this weekend since pay week lies ahead and you need to prepare for that.

Yes, the heater’s doing its job well so far. I keep tabs on it since it’s been out there for a while. Its replacement is here at the house whenever the time comes.

Our wind right now is a steady 29 mph, and the highest gust was 49 mph. Just the sound of it is making me restless and on edge. I really dislike that sound.

I hope none of your trees fall nor that any other trees fall on power poles in your area. You don’t need that aggravation. At least we aren’t going to have the white-out conditions that OK and KS will have. Ugh. I can live without blowing, freezing snow and all the accidents that it will bring.

Be prepared! Good for you. Always a better chance for the main one to work knowing there is a backup at hand.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The internet just came back.
I’m working away on my garnishment reports and my TV goes off and my screens go black. NOT NOW!!! I’m busy!

It sounds like you have what’s expected here, though we’ll have rain with the wind. We only had a little over 6 inches of rain from Sept. 1st to Dec. 31st. In the same time period in ‘22, we had a little over 20 inches. BIG difference and the trees feel it. Those strong sustained winds with stronger wind gusts for over 24 hours is going to really strain them. Needless to say, it has a lot of us a bit on edge. Nothing we can do but hope for the best.

The folks north of us are going to have a worse time with all the snow they’ll get hammered with.
And there are at least two more big systems to go after this one.

I do believe winter is here.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

I’ll bet you and Gizmo were more than ready to chow down after all the roaming you did yesterday.
It doesn’t look like the weather will be as inviting later today.

Well, that was about 4” of light fluffy snow, and it is filling in right behind me. I’ll shovel again before I go to bed.

I think you’re right. It’s feeling close to winter anyhow. At nights anyway.

Ugh. If rain softens that ground and the wind is very strong, you might just lose some trees. I hope not, though. What a mess to have to clean up.

Wish you didn’t have to shovel it yourself. Take care to not overdo it. Being snowed in could be a great excuse for staying home. LOL! Just sayin’.....

Four more inches on top of the two you shoveled earlier?
At least it’s slowed down quite a bit now and there isn’t a whole lot more moving in. It looks like the worst is over and there shouldn’t be too much to shovel before going to bed. *fingers crossed*
