Four years after the pandemic hit, officials are just starting to tell the truth about their panicked and destructive reaction to it. The lockdowns that were imposed worldwide (with the exception of Sweden and a few other countries) ran contrary to the longtime conventional wisdom that the main responsibility of the public-health system in a pandemic is to keep people calm and society functioning. Our public-health officials did the opposite. Intentionally. The hysteria they generated led to hundreds of thousands of non-Covid excess deaths, massive economic and social harms, and, worst of all, an unprecedented disaster in education.
Francis Collins, who was the head of the National Institutes of Health during the pandemic and is now a science adviser to President Biden, recently made a remarkably frank confession:
If you’re a public-health person and you’re trying to make a decision, you have this very narrow view of what the right decision is, and that is something that will save a life. It doesn’t matter what else happens. So you attach infinite value to stopping the disease and saving a life. You attach a zero value to whether this actually totally disrupts people’s lives, ruins the economy, and has many kids kept out of school in a way that they never quite recovered from. . . . This is a public-health mindset. And I think a lot of us involved in trying to make those recommendations had that mindset, and that was really unfortunate. It’s another mistake we made. Okay.
Collins’s tardy mea culpa is welcome, and so too was the testimony last month of Britain’s prime minister, Rishi Sunak, during the country’s independent public inquiry into its Covid response.

Collins was/is a pathological liar. This statement means nothing. Don’t even know why he bothered.

The big lies of 2020.

If only we knew who was the POTUS when all these decisions were made. The bucks stops there.
Yep. I believe it was not a “mindset. Rather it was an intentional brutal exercise in power. I believe they quickly saw Covid as a Trojan horse to perpetually command the populace to submit to their will, starting with deposing President Trump.
Collins and his stooge Fauci censored critics of their policy prescriptions. They smothered treatments. They covered up funding Wuhan. Collins committed crimes against humanity and should face revolutionary justice.
You’ve got it.
Continues to play into the propaganda fiction that there was a spreading, deadly, novel virus at all.
It’s not just our pols and bureaucrats.
It’s also the people hiding behind them, pulling the strings.
Those are the people who have the most to fear if we restore the republic.
And not just here.
Same thing going on in countries all over the globe.
That sounded so commie. One life? What a low IQ. They can’t see past their agenda.
Well said, sir.
And it proved once and for all that the vast majority of Americans are stupid sheep.
Well put. Kudos.

Oh. Bea Ess, you NT tool.
An UNPRECEDENTED happening, ran by LEFTISTS.,to steal an election against the ONLY person/POTUS to stand up to the DS….and, you’re siding within the DS.
BUZZ off.
Lol. Warp Speed!!
If only Trump would admit he absolutely trapped the bed on Covid.
Exactly. They didn’t “make mistakes”, it was all intentional, to usher in tyranny and force people to take toxic vaxes.
Also the states’ lockdowns, mazk requirements and any vax requirements were made by governors; I don’t even think any legislatures were involved. POTUS does not have the power to overturn what states or Governors do, other than in extreme situations. Much of the fedgove stuff like mandatory vaxxing happened after Trump left office.
The government did worse than nothing about testing hydroxychloroquine. They gave Cuomo the governor of New York, a quantity of hydroxychloroquine to run a test. He allowed it to be used only when people were so sick that they were ready for ventilation. Hydroxychloroquine seem to work only when given very early in the COVID 19 sickness.
Cuomo’s test also did not give HCQ with zinc and the other two drugs that made it so effective. In other words, he sabotaged the test.
IMHO it was all to diminish Trump. I cannot imagine not caring that people would be sicker than they needed to be and possibly die just because you hated who was in the White House. Democrats play hardball
Secondly, it seems that ivermectin is very effective at any point in the illness progression of COVID-19. Every person who mocked it in any way, especially calling it “horse paste” should be falling down on their knees, apologizing to the public.
