A new state law is now in effect, putting more restrictions on when and how law enforcement agencies can share a suspect's mugshot with the public on social media.
The change does not just apply to future social media posts. It also requires police and sheriff's departments to scrub through posts from years ago and remove them.

Could it be that one ethnic group was more commonly represented in these mug shot photos than other groups
It seems there’s a crazy new law in California everyday. The state is a virtual production line of nutty laws.
They stopped showing mug shots on the Atlanta nightly news. They actually said it was deemed racist to show all those black mug shots, and every now and then a white one. You can’t make up what passes for reasoned logic among the left.
Just setup a small area where presstitutes can take their own pictures while the perp is being photographed for their mugshot.

Reparations & Affirmative Action
As a black male, a direct descendant of slavery, I am both hopeful as the CA Reparations Taskforce completes its sacred work to repair the devastating effects of slavery, fugitive slave act, Jim Crow, segregation and other crimes against humanity. I endorse and stand behind the findings of the reparation task force. These findings not only resonate with my personal experiences, but they reflect the lived reality of the African American community. Now that the task force has finalized its recommendations, it is incumbent upon California to take decisive action and rectify the deep-rooted systemic racism that has permeated our state’s institutions.
It is imperative that we not only acknowledge the historical injustices inflicted upon African Americans, but also offer a sincere apology for these acts. However, words alone are not enough. We must now take concrete steps to implement tangible policies that address the wealth inequality, housing segregation, discriminatory policing, and maternal health disparities that have plagued our community for far too long.

Mugshots displayed only for White CIS men.
Can’t show who the criminals are to the public, but buy a gas operated lawnmower and reap the wrath of the environazis

In plain English, “Pay me!”
An arrest should be public knowledge. The picture should get posted of everyone arrested with their full name so the public is aware what’s going on on their behalf by the police. And also with their neighbors are doing
California is now trying to pass a law where the names of the suspects will be omitted as well because generally the names are a dead giveaway.
Trying to remove something from the internet is like trying to get pee out of a full swimming pool. Good luck.
This gives me an excuse to post my favorite mugshot story. It’s supposedly true.
A father takes his young son with him to the post office. While they are there, the son notices the wanted posters on one wall.
Son: “Who are those people?”
Father: “They are very bad men. The police are looking for them.”
Son: “Why didn’t the police just keep them when they took their pictures?”
1000 new laws came into effect this year!
CA has the hardest working politicians of any state!
“They stopped showing mug shots on the Atlanta nightly news.”
But, are they still giving out the names, like Dertond, Changuil, etc?
California is a mugshot
California doesn’t want criminals caught. They don’t want to protect their citizens.
This law is already in effect in Oregon.
HE CAN CRY ME A RIVER.
I WOULD NOT PAY HIM ON SINGLE CENT
