President Joe Biden plans to mark three years since the 2021 Capitol riot with a speech at Valley Forge, where George Washington staged American troops during the Revolutionary War.
His remarks in Pennsylvania on Saturday are intended to frame the 2024 presidential election as a fight for democracy. Mr. Biden's reelection campaign said he will also be making a speech next week at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, the site of the 2015 shooting by a white supremacist. There, Mr. Biden aims to draw a contrast with former President Donald Trump and the "anti-freedom agenda" of his "[Make America Great Again] apostles," the Biden campaign says.
"When Joe Biden ran for president four years ago, he said we are in a 'battle for the soul of America,' and as we look towards November 2024, we still are," Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said during a campaign strategy briefing on Wednesday.

There was an infamous Biden rally in Phoenix, Arizona on October 8, 2020 at which no one showed up. Normally a big deal ....the first appearance on the campaign trail of Biden and Kamala Harris together.

Garcia reported Biden staffers said at the time, that “they did not share the timing and exact location of the event with the public.They didn’t really want to give that out to the public because they wanted to keep the crowds to a minimum. “

So where were the party regulars? State or local Democrat party honchos? Elected state and local Democrats? Not even a lowly precinct captain showed up to cheer on the historic candidates Biden and Harris first appearance together.

The Reps should have formed a new J6 Committee and exposed the lies about what happened that day. The Dems have used the insurrection narrative as a club against Trump and the MAGA movement.
The illegitimate J6 committee destroyed written transcripts and video recordings of depositions. We now know that many of the Capitol police lied about what happened that day after reviewing the videos. J6 was one big intel operation orchestrated by the Dems and the Administrative State. It was a Fedsurrection.
The treatment of the J6 political prisoners was/is the greatest deprivation of American civil liberties since the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII. Republicans have been cowards by failing to defend these people who were exercising their right of free speech. Oh, by the way, the election was stolen.
Wouldn’t it be more consistent for him to level the memorial and erect a statue of Marx or Lenin? How does he decide which symbols of our past to crap on and which to revere? I thought George Washington was on their sh!t list.
If what we have now is democracy, then democracy needs to be eradicated.

Ironically, all those men who left their homes and families to join Washington’s Continental Army in his desperate hours in NY, NJ and PA ( including my ancestors from the Eighth Pennsylvania who departed Hannastown and Kittanning Western PA on Jan 6 1777 to walk over the mountains without supplies or shelter and some died from exposure and disease on the way….after bitter fighting those who survived and remained spent the terrible winter of 1777/78 at Valley Forge……they would all now be on an FBI/Homeland Security watchlist of potential domestic terrorists.
The last time Biden was at Valley Forge, he got frost bite.
He was selling socks to the Continentals, at 110% over retail.
