While I used to assume Odessa was a goner I have come around to the idea that Ukraine will keep it.
I’ll be surprised if Ukraine loses it now.

LOL. Why would they announce this now. They invaded Ukraine to take over almost two years ago.
They made their globalist, neocon ambitions when they invaded.
To: JonPreston
They’ve been trying to do that for 2 years now. They’ve made it like 50 miles. At this rate they’ll take Kiev in about 2029 or so.

They already tried this and it didn’t work. Medvedev may be a dim wit but his intended audience is even dimmer.

The Ukies should have negotiated peace early on in the War.

"Medvedev also stated that Russia intends to capture additional Ukrainian cities, specifically naming Odessa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv."
Sounds like a happy ending.

It's all but certain if there isn't an unconditional surrender, the Russians will take everything east of the Dnieper river and Odessa.
There is no benefit to keeping the war going for Ukraine.

Medvedev is like their version of John McCain. Pray nothing happens to Putin and he takes over there.

Win some, lose some. Ukraine had its chance, but then linked up with the Neocons. So they’ll be essentially gone as a country, likely sooner than later.
Eventually, other countries will realize that they don’t want the same fate, so they’ll be more careful.
