I’m sure it has NOTHING to do with the $60k (Canadian) battery replacement cost.
I’m guessing these lot rot cars/trucks/SUVs/EVs are still priced $5k-$10k over MSRP... I’d be in the market for the new Prius hybrid (non electric) but everywhere is charging a premium well over MSRP and that’s for the base model.
Always amazes me when I see “government assistance.”
No, it is taxpayer paid for subsidies that don’t benefit the taxpayer one cent.
There is no such thing as “government assistance.” It is taxpayer money that was taken from them by force.
Way to go, carmakers. Go along to get along and what does it get you?
Gone baby, gone.
I find that strange.

Nice advisory staff you got there. Next time try REAL science and common sense the public lives every day.
Copy the proven locomotive technology and I’m in:
A diesel engine drives the generator WHICH IS THE ONLY POWER FEED TO THE ELECTRIC WHEEL DRIVE MOTORS. The conventional lead-acid battery is only there to start the diesel.
Another great point, the reason Ford trucks can top out over 100k is to pay for the electric vehicles.
Nothing good happens to a vehicle that sits on a lot not drive. Lot rot is just a phrase. They just deteriorate all by themselves.
And some pretty hefty interest rates too.
ONLY applies to EV’s made by union shops IN USA.
NOT applicable to Tesla.-—they are NOT union.
Pretty sure the $7,500 doesn’t apply to Tesla. They only get $5,000 .
The higher amount applies ONLY to US MADE UNION SHOPS.
MORE DELIBERATE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST MUSK.
BIDEN CAMPAIGNED ON: ALL—EACH & EVERY JOB IN THE USA SHOULD BE UNION JOB-—EVEN PEOPLE SELF EMPLOYED.
AND-—THE SAME GUY IS SENDING ROCKETS INTO SPACE & THEY COME BACK DOWN & ARE REUSABLE !!!!!
LUCID & EV both in same sentence:
TOTAL OXYMORON
There. I fixed it.
They’ll soon be piling up at the smelter.
I like the fall of Romania model better.
Car dealerships have always been gonefs.
Haha you’re going to make me Google gonefs.
The people buying those early EVs just weren’t paying attention, I guess. Now they may pay for their mistake. If folks had really been paying attention, it probably wouldn’t have gone this far. Even then, the auto execs weren’t paying attention either, I guess. If nothing else, they should have known that so many average drivers couldn’t afford one of these overpriced mistakes. I sure wish Toyota would go back & build the ‘89 Camry & American manufacturers would follow suit with something similar & priced accordingly.
