Public ceremonies "celebrating" virginity are unnecessary. If it was John Doe, then I support the freedom of religion to do something like this.
But I expect more from Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House. This is making me doubt his judgment, and he's an important person because we need him to stop the Biden Administration.

I'm 80. We were all raised with the same moral code...no sex before marriage. Apparently that's no longer a cultural norm.

I know these kinds of things have become popular among certain sets. Being Catholic, I just find them a little off-putting.
As a grown male, and the father of a daughter, I find other men being overly fixated on the virginity of their daughters, and bringing it to the public's attention in this way, pretty cringey, as the kids say.
