NG is normally not trucked, at least around here.
Most journalists don’t know the difference between NG and propane, or even that there is a difference.
Must have been propane.
There was a family in Arkansas a year or two ago who were blown to pieces when their propane tank exploded.
Don’t remind me. I need to move our tank farther from the house one of these days. Oh well, it hasn’t exploded yet...
Yoiks! Must have been a full truck.

In ground is also an option.
Happy New Year! Woot! Woot!
Loves me some freeper humor, right about now!
Go big, or GO HOME!
It’s amazing the driver survived.
My son is a trucker. He had a bad crash a few weeks ago. A full school bus pulled out in front of hm. He rolled his dump truck and 40,000 pound load when he swerved to miss them. The first cop to arrive called for life flight. (My buddy is on the crew and said they were headed to the copter when they got the stand down order.
The cab was absolutely crushed yet my son walked away without serious injury.
Agree...we have pipelines all over the place. This must be for a particular “site”.
I still remember when the KCS train car filled with liquid propane exploded and almost destroyed the town of Noel Mo back in 1969. We heard about it on AFRTS radio in SE Asia.
The blast woke dad out of a dead sleep and he was 25 miles away.
Noel used to be a great place to vacation in SW Missouri. After the blast it began to go downhill and is nothing like it’s former self.
My friend in the old days Drove by a propane delivery truck. He got fired when his boss passed his truck on the highway and the hose was dragging along behind.
Too much digging for this old man.
The late writer Harlan Ellison (”The City on the Edge of Forever” episode of Star Trek, etc.) ran away from home in Ohio and lied about his age to get a job as a dynamite truck driver in North Carolina. Someone nitpicked later “dynamite isn’t as unstable as other explosives.” Comforting.
There's a small infrastructure in place for servicing vehicles fueled with Compressed Natural Gas. We have a site in the village near me. Not near any pipeline, so deliveries would be by truck. It's a stupid technology, but that doesn't stop the politicians from subsidizing it.
In the old days dynamite was pretty unstable. The movie “Wages of Fear” is a nail biter.
The movie "Sorcerer" was a remake of that story, but with a Tangerine Dream music score!
A section of I-95 in Phildelphia was closed for several weeks earlier this year due to a similar occurrence.
I hesitate to call either an “accident”.
