Sorry I was awol. I was trying to distract myself by organizing my pen and pencils. Then instead of picking up cat toys and disinfecting, I went to the basement and organized my food storage. And then unpacked some boxes that were remaining. Letting kittens go is very tiring!

Mary passed yesterday in Kehei Hawaii where she has lived since after her husband’s death. They had previously lived in the Dallas area. Her desire had always been to live in Hawaii. She was a journalist, author, sharp witted woman. She walked her pup daily and shared amusing tales of the people, flowers/plants and pets she encountered in Hawaii. She was mother of Sandra a beautiful and caring daughter who also lived in Hawaii.
Mary had a stroke in May and was in rehab. We shared text contact over years
She was one of the original FReepers - 1997. Frequented many threads on FR - a favorite being the Sunday morning Talk Show thread hosted weekly by Atlas Babylon.
