Actually, my life is "dull, boring, and hopelessly old-fashioned." It is just about once a year that there is a sparkle of activity. Then, it is back to being a semi-invalid laying on the bed all day, in my pjs, watching the world via my computer.
I DO remember! We saw it in the daytime and it’s still beautiful then, but BOY! At night it’s gorgeous with all those lights! That was such a fun trip. I also remember buying wild blueberries from a road-side vendor. BEST blueberries I ever put in my mouth!

Jem, I thought you taught school, and wrote columns, and went scuba diving and were involved in the ministry and helped run a school.....what did I get wrong? Is it CAD that has brought you to the semi-invalid point? I hope you’re ok - I’ve always read what you post with such admiration and a bit of envy....except where you have to run for your life!

Well, yes, all that has been true. And, yes, CAD has brought me to the semi-invalid state. I’m constantly anemic, and therefore tired, I SCUBA now only if the Hubs can haul my overweight body out of the surf so that’s about once a year, and everything else can be done from my computer while lying on my bed. As for envy, I’ve envied you for living so close to your family and being involved with them, for being able to bake so many pies, and for living and being active on a farm. That seems like a fantastic life. Shall we trade places for a week or two?
I’m doing good, but I’m ready for a nap, too. Always. LOL!
That’s good to know, thanks. We keep intending to get chickens. Maybe someday. But if Cadbury is trying to kill the kittens, he’d be even worse with the little baby chicks.

With today’s WIN in the Great State of Michigan, we are 35 and 1. Colorado’s voters are very embarrassed by what has taken place. If they didn’t have an essentially all Mail-In vote, I would WIN Colorado. The people there are GREAT!!!

30 years ago (how time flies!), Director Chris Columbus, and others, were begging me to make a cameo appearance in Home Alone 2. They rented the Plaza Hotel in New York, which I owned at the time. I was very busy, and didn’t want to do it. They were very nice, but above all, persistent. I agreed, and the rest is history! That little cameo took off like a rocket, and the movie was a big success, and still is, especially around Christmas time. People call me whenever it is aired. Now, however, 30 years later, Columbus (what was his real name?) put out a statement that I bullied myself into the movie. Nothing could be further from the truth. That cameo helped make the movie a success, but if they felt bullied, or didn’t want me, why did they put me in, and keep me there, for over 30 years? Because I was, and still am, great for the movie, that’s why! Just another Hollywood guy from the past looking for a quick fix of Trump publicity for himself!
