Johnson says family ties to slavery don’t reflect work toward ‘colorblind society’

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said his ancestral ties to slavery do not reflect his work toward a “colorblind society.”

A recent examination from Reuters found at least three of Johnson’s direct ancestors were slaveholders.

“As has been well-documented, the horrific legacy of slavery touches the ancestry of political leaders across the spectrum, including Presidents Biden and Obama,” Taylor Haulsee, a spokesperson for Johnson, said in a statement to The Hill. “But the actions of people who lived hundreds of years ago do not have any bearing on the Speaker’s lifelong work for a colorblind society.”

would imagine a large number of representatives from the South have ties to ancestors who owned slaves. No surprise at all. Even blacks owned slaves.

Yep, there were more than 4,000 black slave OWNERS in America. The British also enslaved over 300,000 WHITES in colonial America. When you add those facts to the additional facts that African tribes routinely enslaved each other, that Muslims enslaved white Europeans, and that right this minute Muslim Africans are enslaving black Africans, with chains, whips, slave auctions, the whole nine yards, it is absolutely ludicrous to keep fretting over black slaves in America over 160 years ago.

When you know the truth, you realize that America has NOTHING to apologize for and that black Americans need to stop using slavery as an excuse, get off their butts, and take responsibility for their own self-inflicted failures.

Johnson’s spokeperson is a total bonehead. Why not mention in the same breath those others who owned slaves, like the Veep?

And the descendants of those slaves have it much better in America than they would anywhere else on the planet. This is why millions are illegally invading this country.

White, Christian Westerners did more to bring about the end of legalized slavery in the world than any other race.

There is more slavery today than at any time in human history. And the cabal is facilitating it. It’s high time to do something about it.

Many blacks have direct ancestors who were slaveholders but one is hard pressed to find data the left have been trying to erase it for many years.

If you can trace the first slaves in a black American family line then you will find that some of them were slave owners themselves and slave traders when they were enslaved in Africa.
