"A judge can also order that those arrested be sent back across the border into Mexico, although it is unclear how Texas authorities plan to enforce that provision."

Hopefully via catapult.

unfortunately this will be struck down as all previous attempts of states to try to do something. The courts have ruled over and over that only the federal government has authority over the border.

US courts have previously ruled that only the federal government can enforce immigration laws.

so illegal drugs crossing the US border from Mexico and sold on Texas streets can only be addressed by the Feds? I could list more examples but I think most understand the concept.

Texas should have sued to force the federal government to stop the invasion.

Texas has another option available to it: Secede from the United States of Democrats. She would be quickly followed my many other states sick of what the Democrats have done to the nation.

Very late and one thing they can do legally is put on fancy uniforms and patrol the border. The illegals won’t know who they are but will be intimidated not to enter.

2nd thought, California has higher emissions requirements then the Federal Government and that’s ok. So Texas just has higher immigration requirements than the Federal Government. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Many are coming for construction jobs.

Do not buy a new house until the invasion is stopped.

Do not sell a house until the invasion is stopped.

The state can’t deport anyone.

However, I’d start sending busload to the governors mansion in Arizona and to Maricopa Cty government buildings and courthouse.

One would think that a state has the right to protect its own borders.

“The new Texas measure is so controversial”

Doing the right thing is always controversial.

When is crazy, radical, leftist behavior ever labeled “controversial” in the news?

This move does NOTHING if Texas doesn’t also defy federal judges and even US law enforcement efforts to prevent it. And they ARE coming.

This would be the spark for the next civil war. Long overdue.

Constitutional Convention Call Law

Unless the federal government allows Texas to enforce SB4, Texas shall authorize Ken Paxton (and no other person) to represent it at an Article V convention to be held at a time to be specified by Texas law for the sole purposes of:
1. Voiding the first sentence of Amendment XIV, Section 1,
2. Allowing each state to arrest and deport non-citizens as its legislature desires,
3. Allowing each state legislature from time to time to completely determine which judges shall have authority within the state,
4. Barring the judicial system from exercising any legislative power including that of appropriation of funds even if done under established precedent or agreement.

US ratification of the Refugee Convention and certain provisions of federal asylum/refugee law should be voided as being constitutionally incompatible with Article IV, Section 4 (”protect each of them against invasion”) of the US Constitution.
