I argue that there have been times when a union has a goal of closing a business with union activities. If not a goal, they are certainly indifferent to it. If a union manages to take out a business here and there, it would serve as a warning to other business to capitulate to their demands more readily. To the union, a closed business is just ‘collateral damage’ to the ultimate agenda.
