Florida’s Governor is again recalibrating his position on climate change, per a new interview in an Iowa newspaper.
The Des Moines Register reports that Ron DeSantis is admitting that human activity is one of a “variety of factors” driving the phenomenon — a fact reporter Katie Akin notes that he’s been reluctant to admit.
“DeSantis’ own stance has changed: During the first GOP presidential debate, he did not raise his hand when candidates were asked if human activities are warming the planet. But in the Dec. 9 interview with the Register, DeSantis said he does believe human activities are a factor in the changing climate,” Akin observed.

desantis is again being wishy washy depending on his audience and which way the wind blows...
a fact that can’t be proved...is not a fact at all...it’s nothing more than a notion.
His political suicide continues to gather momentum.
R.D. is an idiot.
It’s amazing his dead political body keeps stabbing itself!
everyone in milwaukee left their windows opened and the heat on this weekend... it is still cold. and people died of that cold.
oh well.
He’s toast.
Based on ....
I don’t think he’s waffling here. He’s just not making the distinction between the two. The first instance of not raising his hand when asked if human activity is warming the planet is different when he says he thinks human activity is contributing to warming the planet.
He’s not helping himself, just helping the enemy. He needs to just stop and drop out. He has zero chance of being the candidate. They all have zero chance. Waste of time and money.
If that isn’t a tell of being a puppet of the establishment nutjobs then nothing is.
“Admits”?
One can’t admit something that isn’t true.
Mark of a WEF cultist!!!!
He is just saying what his advisors are telling him to say.
His advisors are out of touch idiots and this doesn’t speak well of Desantis for parroting their thoughts.
He could have told them to pack sand but he just seems desperate now.
That is about the same or identical to Trump in the past.
In 2009, Mr Trump actually signed a full-page advert in the New York Times, along with dozens of other business leaders, expressing support for legislation combating climate change.
“If we fail to act now, it is scientifically irrefutable that there will be catastrophic and irreversible consequences for humanity and our planet,” the statement said.
Oh boy, just when you think this guy couldn’t be dumber.
Trump is not ambiguous on the subject.
Maybe we contribute, BUT CERTAINLY NOT TO THE POINT THAT WE CAN CONTROL CLIMATE CHANGES.
Trump got us out of the Paris Accords, that’s good enough for me.
Ron’s sell out is complete now
What next, mandating CRT be taught in all Florida classrooms?
