Democratic New York Senator Jamaal Bailey understands firsthand how challenging it is to find a hair stylist trained in his hair texture.
He told Allure magazine he often runs into scenarios where he’s not in his neighborhood but in need of a quick tape-up or shape-up — and left debating who around him might be qualified.

Totalitarianism.

A new bill in New York requires hairstylists to be trained in all hair textures
wut, the boy afraid to goto Harlem???
plenty of people up there capable of tending to his texture of nappyness...
We’ve got too many politicians with nothing to do. Hair is the #1 political issue for some azhos but not many.

But the irony is that all the regulations will do is dramatically expand the black market (under which my cousin commands good money for premium styling in your own home).
Isn’t this the idiot who pulled the fire alarm??
naaa, the mutt is a state RAT...
This is going to result in anger, lawsuits, and claims of racism.
Trouble is what this is. I would not want to work on black hair, because they get angry if things dont go perfect. I expect some white hairstylist to get a beating if they anger somebody.
Sorry. Stupidity confuses me sometimes
