In many states failure to identify is a crime. Especially when pulled over for potential traffic offenses. In those encounters police have a right to identify you.

Nope.

Especially when pulled over for potential traffic offenses. In those encounters police have a right to identify you.

Now there you are right. If you are the one behind the wheel.

If you are not then the minions of the law can go play with themselves which is what they seem to do quite a bit.

We have yet to reach the point in this country where we must have our papers on us at all times like good and meek slaves.

But we are getting there and as you can see from this thread many people will be cheering on the slave hunters.

There is a big difference between a failure to identify yourself, and having to show ID.

In the vast majority of states, "my name is Zeugma and I live at 123 anyplace road, mytown, state" is sufficient.
