The ‘wrong’ that I see Trump did was in his selection of certain high ranking government people; I believe he relied on bad counsel to make the choices when he should have gone with his own gut feel. He also should have just outright fired Brennan, Hayden and gutted the FBI from top to bottom. The other ‘choice’ of Sessions for Attorney General turned out to be a disaster on Sessions’ part that totally went against his prior performance as an Alabama US Senator. Inexplicable. How do you screen for someone who ended up performing like Sessions?
That said, I think he’s learned something in the last couple of years of his administration and the ensuing aftermath of all the so-called GOP and government deep staters trying to keep him off the 2024 ticket and will be more selective in his choices.
I haven’t seen any evidence that Trump learned from his mistakes.
In fact, that’s wishful thinking because I think he’s gotten worse about it lately.
