“These are the kind of adversaries that morally bankrupt parties such as fieldmarshaldj and ought-six say we should just ‘live and let live.’”
WTF? You must have me confused with someone else.

I can name three that would like to pull-out and one biggie that never joined.Name them!
Poland, Hungary, Italy [...] Uk
Neither Poland, Hungary, nor Italy have expressed any serious desire to secede from the E.U. Sure, there are various politicians who might occasionally try to "make hay" by voicing discontent with individual E.U. policies - but secede? No!
The U.K. did join - back in 1974. Stayed in for roughly half a century, then brexited recently.
Please get your facts straight!
I, personally, applauded the Brexit, and am otherwise unconcerned about the continued existence of the E.U. Rather, I find the continuation of NATO far more important (incl. for the preservation of U.S. security interests).

I visited all three countries within the past 8 years and this was a topic which all were in agreement. They didn’t like the entire concept of the EU. In fact they had nothing to say in it’s favor.

Your blatant confusion about the U.K. "never having joined" the E.U. already disqualified you from trumpeting your misinformed views on these matters.
