How much worse? Just imagine what went on with no recording or instant worldwide transmission of atrocities.

If you want to listen to an even-handed account of the Jewish-Palestinian issue from 1880’s to the 1940’s, I would HIGHLY recommend episodes of the Martyr Made history podcast called “Fear and Loathing in the New Jerusalem”.

They were recorded 4 or 5 years ago and are very long (like 20 hours) but they go through the pogroms in Europe to the earliest Zionists to the Belfort Declaration and up to WW2.

He demands at every step that you put yourself in the shoes of the Jews and then the Palestinians. It is a very powerful history lesson.

After hearing it, I felt like someone’s who’s only knowledge of WW2 was watching one episode of Hogan’s Heros and then being shown Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.

It is really eye opening how much of the history of that conflict isn’t widely talked about.
