When tens of thousands of scientists and research-trained physicians independently examine the data and come to the same conclusions, I'm going to accept what they say. When some "maverick" starts spouting the scientists' own data and conclusions as "proof" of something the scientists never said, I'm going to dismiss him/her as a kook.
The thing about scientific consensus is that it is formed as a result of the study of physical processes. The consensus is that mixing vinegar and baking soda will cause the rapid production of foam. This is because the production of foam is an observable physical process which exists regardless of anyone's opinion. Science is not advanced by a bunch of people wearing white coats arguing about what they think something should be like; it is advanced by observing the physical world.
Hey Dingbat, remember when I called you out early on, that you were relying on "consensus" and that consensus is not science?
Here's why. DoodleBob pointed out that people who dissented from the Pfauci narrative had their careers destroyed. That means the thousands of scientists' analyses were NOT independent: there was a hidden variable you left out. The variable was the pressure exerted on the scientists, directly, or indirectly through word-of-mouth and the example of colleagues.
And look, even Pfauci's *boss* says things weren't all kosher.
