When tens of thousands of scientists and research-trained physicians independently examine the data and come to the same conclusions, I'm going to accept what they say. When some "maverick" starts spouting the scientists' own data and conclusions as "proof" of something the scientists never said, I'm going to dismiss him/her as a kook.
The thing about scientific consensus is that it is formed as a result of the study of physical processes. The consensus is that mixing vinegar and baking soda will cause the rapid production of foam. This is because the production of foam is an observable physical process which exists regardless of anyone's opinion. Science is not advanced by a bunch of people wearing white coats arguing about what they think something should be like; it is advanced by observing the physical world.

LOL! Like I said, heavier than any LesPaul I ever picked up. Had pups changed out to humbuckers and it sounded great but at 9.8 lbs it was a bit much for a 4 hour gig so. 12 inch radius neck which I actually like. Here is what many rational people think:
Chinese scientists, in complicity with the U.S., created a killer virus of which they, in their incompetence, lost control. An outbreak of a novel Coronavirus occurred in the same city as a U.S. funded Chinese biolab which coincidentally indulged in experimentation with deadly viruses.
The entire world economy was shattered as all the perfectly healthy people were quarantined. Millions of lives were shattered as family businesses were destroyed.
Promising therapeutics were quashed in the interest of emergency FDA approval of a novel gene therapy which was rushed into distribution at Warp Speed, bypassing the usual testing safeguards. As a result, hundreds of thousands of people, instead of being treated with the therapeutics, were intubated and died. Alone. Their loved ones weren’t even allowed to hold funerals.
Sane, intelligent people who wished to analyze the risk/benefit ratio of the novel therapy vs Covid 19, were ridiculed and had their lives cancelled.
The Democrats seized upon the opportunity and eliminated voting integrity in the name of safety.
The new report claiming “evidence” that natural Pangolin infecting viruses with furin cleavage sites refuting lab leak theory is produced by Wuhan labs in conjunction with the CCP ARMY:

The key to releasing a biological weapon is to make sure that the restriction endonuclease cleavage sites aren’t easily visualized so it’s hard to trace. When it comes to this kind of work, the government is light years ahead of what you know, or think you know about cleavage sites.
The give always are really easy to spot that it was man made: 1) The Chinese did nothing to stop the spread internationally. 2) The NIH was funding research in China, in a lab it paid to build with US tax dollars, enhancing this virus, even though illegal to do so in US. 3) The CIA and media told everyone it came from bat soup…….they didn’t sell the carrier bat in the food market because it lives 1000km away. 4) The CIA paid scientists to lie about the origins of COVID-19, after the US government put a research team together, and say it was natural in origin. 5) The highest paid government employee lied about the Wuhan lab, the funding, and its connection to the same research in North Carolina which was banned.
Two obvious things, you don’t pay scientists to lie unless the truth is uncomfortable and you don’t risk worldwide murder and sanctions by exporting infected people unless you have an agenda.

...And you’ll also have to explain why, a *year* after the Nature article more or less commissioned by Peter Daszak to “prove” Covid-1984 was natural, Ralph Baric wrote an editorial in Science, saying that there should be a formal investigation whether Covid-1984 was man-made or not.
Then you have the “bat lady” in China talking explicitly about modifications to the S1 spike protein to see how they could improve its binding; and Daszak’s grant proposal for EcoHealthAlliance.
Two Nobel virologists and the two top groups in the world on gain of function, saying artificial creation of THIS strain, is likely.
That makes it a plausible, forever.
And no longer even the slightest loophole to use the word kook.
And what do you know, there’s a Chinese lab doing this crap in the very city the outbreak happens.
