We can only hope for a filibuster of this betrayal. The U.S. Senate tops my list for reform. A four year term in office would keep them more accountable to their voters rather than the special interests they serve.

6 year time is fine the Founding Fathers had it right for the right reasons. The horrible mistake was the 17th Amendment. It made the just another version of the House. Severed the senator from his job his only job that of representing his state to the federal government. Repealing the 17th Amendment would solve most of the problem.
