Cornyn: ‘I Was Wrong’; Grassley: ‘Trump’ll Carry Iowa’
The National Pulse ^ | 11/11/23 | JACK MONTGOMERY

Republicans who once believed Donald Trump was unelectable or actively opposed his candidacy for 2024 are now conceding he is capable of dethroning Joe Biden, and that rivals such as Ron DeSantis are incredibly unlikely to oust him.

“Looks like I was wrong,” said Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas), after polling for The New York Times showed Trump is leading Biden by 11 points in Nevada, six in Georgia, five in Arizona, five in Michigan, and four in Pennsylvania, while the 80-year-old Democrat is ahead by just two points in Wisconsin.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) also says “it looks like Trump’s going to carry it,” referring to the Iowa caucuses in the GOP primary race. Even if more candidates besides Mike Pence drop out, Grassley said, their support shifting to other candidates will impact Trump’s lead only “minimally”.

“The people thinking of dropping out are 2 or 1 percent,” he observed. “I don’t know how you calculate that.”

DeSantis backers such as Robert Bigelow, who donated $20 million to DeSantis, are already throwing in the towel: “I think Trump has the momentum,” he said, comparing the former president to a “bull” – and the Florida Governor to “dinner”.

I think Trump would beat Pelosi’s relative like a drum. The ads just write themselves if he runs.

One can do all the beating one wants, but unless the conditioned can really hear it, it won't matter.

Our Getty scion is tougher than one might think. He's a very glib liar. This de-bait with DeSantis will be interesting.

Unfortunately agree. It’s great news, of course, that Trump can beat Mr. Potato-Head, except Mr. Potato-Head won’t be his opponent. They’re absolutely going to run Gavin Gruesome. I would bet my bottom dollar on it. Need to start seeing some polls on how Trump would fare against the real leftoid candidate.

America needs a FIGHTER. Someone whose skin is thick, with sort of an armoured ability to resist attacks. Someone independent of all the GROUP think people. GO TRUMP.

Good to see the Primary Season FINALLY coming to an end and the GOP, this time, settling on a candidate.

Why is Niki Haley spending all of her 10 million attacking DeDantis and not Trump? Why is Trump essentially borrowing 2 million on ads attacking DeSantis and not Haley, the alleged 2nd place position in this make believe horse race?

I have always believed that the opposite of what the media tells me, whether it’s Covid, man made climate change, Ukraine, Russia Hoax, J-6, etc.

I think DeSantis is the real front runner, otherwise the fake media, the fake propped up Haley campaign, and the Trump circus wouldn’t be spending all of these millions of dollars on attempting in vain to eliminate the greatest governor in America.

Spoiler: DeSantis is much smarter than Haley and Trump, and no matter how hard they all beg and scream and insist that his campaign is dying, he will never drop out because he knows he is going to win.

John Cornyn is another RINO who got reelected on Trump’s coattails who needs to be primaried and removed in 2026.

One thing you can say about this....
Getting a Senator to admit he is wrong is nearly impossible

Yes, ads featuring the hellscape of SanFranSh*tco and Woke-fornia would do it.

I bigger threat to President Trump would be a “moderate” like retiring Senator Epi-Pen Manchin from W. Virginia.

John Cornyn is a Democrat. Remember, even before Jan. 6th, he tweeted that he couldn’t imagine Josh Hawley and the others bringing any evidence that would change his mind that Trump lost the election.

Niki Haley is GOPe. The GOPe wants to destroy DeSantis so that he is not a threat to them in 2028 or 2032.

With our woke "news" media, now with AI editing social media on the fly, the public you would wish to reach will never see them.

I always hear that Newsom is related to Pelosi but don’t know how.

Do you know what the relation is?
