Maybe so. I have made mistakes in my life. Some legal, some personal, some ethical. Nothing earth shattering, but they were mistakes, and they were mine. If someone asks about them, I explain them. And I spend my life proving to my employer, my friends and my wife that, despite my earlier failings, I am a worthy employee, neighbor, husband.

I live with my history. I have learned from it. I have atoned for it. But I did not erase it. I reserve for those other than the government to wash away my sins.

“”“And I believe that the best anti-crime tool we have is a job when people have steady work.”

I’m having visions of Marie Harf and the “fix” for terrorism.

As most of you who watch any TV know, it’s that time of the year when geezers sign up for health and drug plans under Medicare. Anyway, as a geezer I was filling out a form to change my drug plan for next year. One section basically asks why I’m applying for the plan. Choice number 4 of 23 is, “I recently was released from incarceration. I was released on...”

But of course, I don’t live in New York.

A lot of apartments in NYC. Now you could be living next door to unvetted, convicted felons. Violent criminals. You could be working in a cubicle or bullpen setup surrounded by them.

Ain’t diversity grand?

Good grief, Democrats are destructive.

Democrats are not soft on crime any more. They are actively in favor of crime. This is yet another ruling class tactic of class warfare.

I knew a guy in college who got a drug bust. He was offered a plea deal: plead guilty to a low-level felony and get no jail time, just probation.

Then later he found out he could forget about holding any professional job at any corporation.

Run a criminal background check. If it comes back sealed, don’t hire them. That’s my idea but I don’t know how the judical system works.

“... misdemeanors such as disorderly conduct...” which of course is TOTAL bullSchiff when LEOs don’t have anything else except their butthurt: “Didn’t OBEY me.”

On the other hand, can’t understand normal things Hochul: “... non-violent crimes like compelling prostitution “
maybe she needs to experience how non-violent compelling prostitution is !

“non-violent felonies like money laundering”

So Brandon needs to move to NYS after leaving office?

Karen Bimbo needs to be held responsible whenever the sh*t goes wrong. It’s her fault.

Great, let’s hire a thief to work with cash or jewelry or a pedophile to work at school. How about a druggie to work at a pharmacy. Is there something in the water she’s drinking?

“My number one job as the New York State Governor is to keep people safe, Hochul said. “And I believe that the best anti-crime tool we have is a job when people have steady work.”
Nice logic, there, Guv: take away their jobs, destroy their families and schools, subsidize their indolence and lassitude, and coddle they're criminality through leniency and excuses.

Then force others to hire 'em after they've turned to crime, which you led them to. Nice.
