Were Americans’ safety and security undermined?
To what extent?Possibly not, but it's near certain Hunter, James, and Joe's bank accounts were all enhanced.

CAUTION A citizen has the right to arrest without a warrant where it appears that a crime had actually been committed, and that there was probable or reasonable cause to fairly suspect the person arrested to be guilty. Brown v. State, 62 N.J.L.

This tells me that nothing is going to happen to Trump.
They’re laying off Joe because Joe has agreed to lay off Trump.
Gag order lifted today for example.. seems to be what is happening here.
I think Trump has the goods on a lot of the worst mf’ers in govt, including Plugs and O’Bummer. I suppose I could be wrong, but that is my gut.
We need to forget about impeaching Old Crooked Joe. Even though he’s a fake President, he’ll be voted out fair n square. And the libs will lose it.

I did a dig on this:
Biden as VP could restrictively classify and declassify. He was also covered under the Presidential Records Act via Pres. Obama E.O.13489 - year 2009(though it was around in some looser form earlier).
https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2009/01/26/E9-1712/presidential-records then congress codified it
PUBLIC LAW 113–187—NOV. 26, 2014
https://www.congress.gov/113/plaws/publ187/PLAW-113publ187.pdf 2208. Claims of constitutionally based privilege against disclosure.’’.
(4) RULE OF CONSTRUCTION.—Nothing in the amendment made by paragraph (2)(C) shall be construed to—
(A) affect the requirement of section 2207 of title 44,United States Code, that Vice Presidential records shall be subject to chapter 22 of that title in the same manner as Presidential records; or
(B) affect any claim of constitutionally based privilege by a President or former President with respect to a Vice Presidential record.
"https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/44/chapter-22 Pres. Bush E.O. 13292 was revoked by Pres. Obama's E.O. 13526 - December 29, 2009. I didn't look for the differences.
E.O. 13526 still says VP can classify. Looks like Declassify can be done by VP(and his successor) subject to: stuff.
Sec. 1.3. Classification Authority.
(a) The authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by:
(1) the President and the Vice President;
(2) agency heads and officials designated by the President; and
(3) United States Government officials delegated this authority pursuant to paragraph (c) of this section.
(b) Officials authorized to classify information at a specified level are also authorized to classify information at a lower level.
Sec. 3.1. Authority for Declassification.
(a) Information shall be declassified as soon as it no longer meets the standards for classification under this order.
(b) Information shall be declassified or downgraded by:
(1) the official who authorized the original classification, if that official is still serving in the same position and has original classification authority;
(2) the originator's current successor in function, if that individual has original classification authority;
(3) a supervisory official of either the originator or his or her successor in function, if the supervisory official has original classification authority; or
(4) officials delegated declassification authority in writing by the agency head or the senior agency official of the originating agency.
There are 14 additional Presidential documents that refer to E.O. 13526.
https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/search?conditions%5Bagencies%5D%5B%5D=executive-office-of-the-president&conditions%5Bterm%5D=13526&conditions%5Btype%5D%5B%5D=PRESDOCU I didn't check to see if VP can no longer declass.

The Washington Post reported vice presidents have the authority to declassify anything THEY classified. The New York Times similarly reported that the vice president has the power to declassify, while noting....... the scope of that authority “has never been definitively tested.”
Materials that could be classified include military plans, foreign government information or scientific, technological or economic matters relating to national security, according to the executive order.
“It is longstanding practice in the executive branch to treat the vice president as having the same amount of authority in that respect as the president....... unless the president explicitly says otherwise,” McClanahan said.
Bradley Moss, a national security attorney at the law office of Mark S. Zaid, PC: “Vice presidents would (also), at least according to the minimal FOIA case law on the subject, be bound by the same declassification procedures that ostensibly apply to a president,” Moss said.
One such procedure includes a vice president having to NOTIFY any agency affected by the declassification of certain material beforehand, according to Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor and president of West Coast Trial Lawyers.

Of course not.
The double standard is the ONLY standard.
It’s not long before the majority of us no longer respect the law. After then, it’s trouble.
To: joesbucks
If it was a crime for Trump it should be a crime for Biden..if it was no crime for Biden to have it, the charges against Trump should be dropped
To: Liz
thanx.
Law says VP can be declassified by his successor. VP Biden could declassify VP Cheney’s stuff as well as his own. Does the VP have people who directly report to him that can classify ? If so, then VP Biden could have declassify power over them.
The longstanding practice of VP having same authority as Pres. was codified in 2014.
I wish someone would test some of these laws.
I’m guessing Pres. Trump will now have a better case for dismissal...but not in that RAT Rathole D.C.
Nobody is addressing the fact that Sen. Biden shouldn’t have had classified stuff at home...period.
