Sarah Sanders on Trump Endorsement: ‘The Trump Presidency Was a Complete and Total Success’
Breitbart ^ | 13 Nov 2023 | JEFF POOR

Monday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Gov. Sarah Sanders (R-AR), who also served as a press secretary in the Trump administration, discussed her decision to endorse her former boss Donald Trump.

Sanders contrasted the Biden presidency with Trump’s term and said her timing was tied to the direction of the race.

“Why was last week the right time to endorse your former boss?” Fox News Channel’s Brian Kilmeade asked.

“Look, I think that the contrast between what is shaping up to be a rematch between Donald Trump and Joe Biden could not be more clear,” Sanders replied. “If you want to break it down very simply, the Trump — the Trump presidency was a complete and total success, and everything we’ve seen so far from Joe Biden has been a complete and total failure. If we want open borders, America to be weaker at home and abroad if we want out-of-control inflation, Joe Biden’s your guy.”

“If you want our country to be more secure and more prosperous, then Donald Trump is the person that people should be voting for in 2024. I’d been governor for a little less than a year really wanted to focus on my time as governor. But now, as we’re getting closer and closer to ’24 and the field is lining up between these two people, I thought it was really important to speak out. And I was glad I had the opportunity to do that alongside President Trump last week.”

Any debate - whether over understanding or definition - will have to address the purpose of including the class of ordinary "citizen" in the sentence that introduces NBC.

Agreed. The point was our Founders wanted people who would have been "Americanized" and loyal or taught loyalty from the start.

Remember, many early Americans spent time abroad and had children while they were abroad. But AFAIK, those children born abroad to American citizens were considered NBC.

Upon ratification, there were citizens who were not born in America and/or were not born to American citizens abroad.

So, again, if Ramaswamy was born on U.S. soil and his parents were here legally, he may very well be considered an NBC.

Not true with fraudsters like Obama, however, who hid his birth certificate and lied through his teeth about it.

We have had a good exchange. Let me throw a couple of things on the table in parting.

- ...In addition to the things you mention, "our Founders wanted" candidates whose parents were loyal by birth or citizenship (recall that we had just fought a bloody, expensive war with England), but they understood it was impossible for a candidate born before Adoption to have such parents and so provided a temporary, time sensitive provision to solve that problem.

- a parent "being here legally" is not the same as being a citizen.

Now that you have a sense of my view you can imagine how surprised I was when my R Senator told me that if Obama said he was born in Hawaii that was good enough for him. It was a sad moment and my first thought was "the fix has gotta' be in".

All you mention and likely more.

IMO, even those of our R leaders who were not coerced or bought off must have thought based on intel available only to them that Hillary was a worse choice.

Hopefully we both get that NBC is not as cut-and-dried as some think but that doesn’t excuse those that allow the fraudulent Obama’s of this world to lie their way to the Presidency.

The last two Democratic Presidents have both ascended to the White House through blatant fraud, lies, and deceit.

As Murray Burns in “A Thousand Clowns” said, “frauds, fakes, phoneys, and frogs.”

See ya.
