Mmmmmm.....all those pols making the trek to war-torn Israel: DeSantis, Newsome, Christie, plus Sen Graham took 10 more. Also on the “me-too” list: NY Gov Hochul, NY Mayor Adams, Sen Cory Booker, Cong Dan Goldman, etc etc etc.
They’ve all been coached to say the exact same thing: “I’m going to Israel to ‘learn,’ to ask questions.”
Although, when he was NY governor, Andrew Cuomo went ....drum roll, please....to get “Israeli Know-How” on how to Fix Struggling New York Subways.” Lol. Yet, billions of NY tax dollars for transit upgrades were up for grabs. I wonder who got the contracts?
Israel has now existed for 75 years. And the parade of politicians going there is truly impressive.
Is it b/c opportunistic pols want to make sure Israel remains a welfare client of
the US, and stays subject to political pressure from its benefactor government?
It might be time to consider that possibility.
Israel shouldn’t have to constantly prove it’s a viable nation......not just a welfare case.
