On Thursday’s broadcast of “CNN News Central,” Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) stated that one issue complicating negotiations to get Americans out of Gaza is the fact that Hamas is trying to get injured terrorists released.
Coons said he hopes there is a “several-day pause” to get humanitarian aid into Gaza, get dual citizens out of Gaza, and free hostages.
Later, co-host Sara Sidner asked, “There are still U.S. citizens in Gaza who want out. There [are] a couple in particular that we are aware of, [one] is stuck there and saying that the State Department is just not doing enough to try to help them get out. What needs to be done to finally get out more Americans, get them to safety, as they wait there in the midst of this war?”

Ya, that was difficult to predict.....
And they expected anything else to happen????
OF COURSE, they’re going to protect the terrorists over the citizens.
We are governed by absolute idiots (for the most part)
Yet, another Full Retard politician form Delaware.
Especially if they have a (D) associated with their name.
IMO, the D no longer means *Democrat* but *deranged*. Or maybe *demonic*.
Dumb, and dumber from Delaware!
Add Coons to “the suckup list.”
And remember, you are not supposed to notice that US candidates are all making the trek to war-torn Israel: Biden, DeSantis, Newsome, Christie.
Also on the “me-too” list: NY Gov Hochul, NY Mayor Adams, Sen Cory Booker, Cong Dan Goldman, etc etc etc.
US politicians have all been coached to say the EXACT same thing: “I’m going to Israel to ‘learn,’ to ask questions.”
Although, when he was NY governor, Andrew Cuomo went in 2019 .....drum roll, please......to get “Israeli Know-How” on how to Fix Struggling New York Subways.” Watta laugh riot. Yet, billions of NY tax dollars for transit upgrades were up for grabs. I wonder who got the contracts?
Israel has now existed for 75 years. And the parade of politicians sucking up is truly impressive.
Is it b/c opportunistic pols want to make sure Israel remains a welfare client of
the US, and stays subject to political pressure from its benefactor government?
It might be time to consider that possibility.
Israel shouldn’t have to constantly prove it’s a viable nation......not just a welfare case.
What does any thinking human being expect? Terrorists gotta terrorist - of COURSE they’re going to do this. Hell, they build rocket launching pads right next to hospitals, they clearly don’t give a rat’s ass about their own people, why should that change? You really have to be mentally retarded, or a Democrat, to not understand this.
The entire process is infuriating. The hostages are the only bargaining chip that Hamas has at the moment, and everyone with half a brain can see that - which is why Israel is adamant that there will be no cease-fire until the hostages are released. Beyond Netinyahu (sp) I don’t see any government officials being stern with the demand that the hostages (including US citizens) be released.
These “pauses” to allow people to move further south and away from active military operations areas will certainly be used by Hamas to move wounded troops out of the area. This isn’t a particularly large area (although shaped differently, it’s about the size of Las Vegas) - at least it will be relatively easy for Israel to monitor these “humanitarian” movements.
