The Democrat and Chronicle is another example of a long-time city-specific newspaper that is nearly comatose and deserves death.

As a white employee, he also probably had long tenure - so was costly for the newspaper. Probably a NY lib himself if he worked for that rag, so its difficult to feel too sorry for him.

There’s a generation of people still alive who only get their news from print. They need to be propagandized too. I don’t doubt that the owners of these newspapers get some kind of support for serving this critical deep-state role.

Just last night I was in a store and looked at the local rags print edition and it was noticeably smaller in size than it used to be dimension wise. They have become shadows of what they once were. Not long for this world is my guess. They are going the way of the old phone booth.
