Harvard will be held accountable. There is a good chance that in the near future, Harvard will cease to exist.

“...but that letter is too long.”

I’ve heard it said that crazy people often write very long letters.

I once received a 10 page letter from a contractor, with detailed information about all kinds of stupid stuff regarding introspection, guiding principles and promises we were to make, plus he wanted a signed copy of this “agreement” with his insanity. Needless to say I found another contractor.

“”but that letter is too long.””

I’d be interested in the word count of that letter. Somewhere along the way, he was not taught to be brief and succinct to get his point across. No one is going to pay attention to any complaint/criticism that couldn’t be expressed in as few words as possible. I started out reading it and gave up about 1/3 of the way through.

Doesn’t matter to Harvard. To them, he is a MAGA nutcase.

To Harvard, Ackman is a Filthy Jew.

The letter was far too long and was most likely given the TL;DR treatment.

He should have said in one sentence that he would no longer donate to Harvard due to anti-Semitism on campus.

THAT is what gets their attention.

I’d be happy to support Mr. Ackerman as soon as he publishes a copy of his letter that he wrote in 1995 when Harvard faculty member Noel Ignatiev published in his journal “Race Traitor” calls for eliminating the white race and/or whiteness.

Harvard accepted Ignatiev without a bachelors degree into its graduate division, where he published a journal whose motto was “treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity” at a time when Mr. Ackerman was not yet a hedge-fund billionaire but was already a valued alumnus active in University activities.

After Professor Ignatiev’s frequent and passionate attacks on white people, without a quibble from the college or the Harvard Corporation, the percentage of white gentiles in Harvard College shrunk to historically low levels, and has stayed there.

Now, Mr. Ackerman, you definitely wrote that letter, right? Please just let us see it.

“”Someone taking action in a truly meaningful way...””

Really? What action did the writer take? Write a long boring letter?

My idea of “taking action” is not writing a letter long enough to annoy the reader who tosses it in the trashcan.

I guess you could call THAT action!

Auto correct in your post made me LOL!

Now that our Betters have perfected A.I. by Beta resting via auto-quote they are unleashing it on the world.

Self driving cars are the most obvious application to date.

Watch out if you see one approaching!

I agree the letter is too long.

Watch any of the many videos on the Internet where a bully throws a sucker punch and receives “justice” in just a few seconds.

If someone threatens a Harvard Jewish student and spits on them, they need to have their teeth knocked out.

In those few seconds, a college student learns more than he/she EVER WOULD in four years wandering a college campus.

“”don’t complain without bringing actionable items and viable solutions to the discussion.””

I’ve heard that over the years and he doesn’t make any more sense now than it ever did. If the person making the complaints had any reasonable correction to a problem, there wouldn’t be any need to voice a complaint, would there?

I had a boss tell me once not to tell him my problems but to give him the solutions. WHAT? If I had the solutions, I wouldn’t have needed to bother him, would I?

A more honest answer - “I DON’T HAVE A CLUE as to the correct way to handle the problem so you let me know how you work it out.”

The letter to whom it is addressed shall probably have minimal effect in changing policy, but the withholding of donations should at least get their attention.

The addressee should show great shame at permitting this travesty to go on for more than a day, but the reality is, they are without shame or even the emotional capacity to empathize with other than the apparently accepted dutiful obedience demanded of them.

May they face epic fail.

Good letter, really screws this President Gay to the wall for failing to act (and thus encouraging antisemitism), but it lacks the most important thing - a threat if the current situation continues. Specifically, a threat to not merely stop sending contributions to Harvard, but to organize a nationwide boycott of contributions by alumni. After all, money talks, BS walks.

None of this happened overnight

Harvard has billions in endowments and they didn’t get to that point without decades of alumni sending their support.
