Frankly, I think it’s incredibly stupid of Speaker Johnson. We could get a secure Southern border. We could get actual tax cuts. We could get actual oversight of the Biden administration. And what do we go for? Increased capriciousness in the IRS tax-law enforcement.

What you apparently don't know is that the House passed a bill in May (I think) entitled "Secure the Border Act of 2023. It was sent to the Senate and they have been considering it. It's a very comprehensive bill. Of course...way back then...Biden said he would veto it.

But now with Ukraine funding at stake...things are different and Dem states are now screaming for border relief, too.

Looks like we just have to let it play out. Let's see how dumb the Dems are.
