Two things have become apparent since the NCAA investigation into the Michigan football program became public knowledge nearly two weeks ago. The first is that Connor Stalions, a low-level staff member within the football program, pushed the boundaries of scouting future opponents and likely broke NCAA regulations in the process. The second is that, in a rush to capitalize on the gold mine that has become this ongoing saga in Ann Arbor, members of both the local and national media have exposed themselves as a group who place a higher value on analytics than they do on accuracy.
The steady flood of reporting about the investigation into the Michigan football program hasn't produced much in the way of facts, but it has certainly produced plenty in the way of rumors, speculation, and flat out inaccurate information - as well as producing a lot of clicks along the way.
Here are just a handful of things that have been "reported" over the last week:

True there is much speculation, but there are some odd things that lead me to believe it goes much higher and is at least as big as they say
1st a low level recruiter would not be on the sidelines with papers in hand would not be standing next to def coordinator and offensive coordinator , let alone talking to them
2nd their meteoritic rise from the ashes to top of the heap right around comments activities
3rd, the film of osu looking for call and Conner checking osu sidelines very closely and then putting his hand into the air and Michigan players doing the same after him, again is the power of a low level nobody?
Could be true, but….
All for letting them play, schedule gets hard for Michigan now, if they mow over competition then good for the

So we agree, he’s a character in a sea of blandness.
