Republicans Turn on Mike Johnson Over Israel Aid Package

A number of Republicans have signaled their disagreement with Mike Johnson's plan to decouple Israel and Ukraine military aid amidst their respective wars with Hamas and Russia.

Under the new speaker, the House of Representatives seeks to provide $14.3 billion in aid to Israel. President Joe Biden had initially requested the House pass a $10 billion package that would have included aid for Israel, Ukraine and border security.

Johnson has in the past voted against aid for Ukraine and has said he wanted aid to Israel and Ukraine to be handled separately with more accountability for money sent to the Kyiv government.

Selling the latest US aid bundle as a “one-time only payment” is a crock of BS.

Backstory: Since 1973 alone, Israel has received more than $120 billion “one-time only” US tax
dollars in MILITARY assistance alone, including three “one-time only” special aid packages.
<><>”one-time only” billions for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty
<><>”one-time only” billions for Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai.
<><>”one-time only” billions for redeployment of Israeli forces
<><>rebuilding Israeli air bases in the Negev cost a “one-time only” $5 billion.

Besides US military aid and weaponry, Israel also receives
<><>economic US foreign aid,
<><>US aid which supports Israel’s broad economic development,
<><>US aid to support its sociopolitical stability
<><>US aid to include non-military support related to the country’s pressing security needs.
<><>and “humanitarian” US aid.

Separate the bills ... if support for funding Ukraine and Israel is there, each bill will be passed, and individual Congress-critters and Senators will be on the record as to each bill.

Israel and America (as a Judeo-Christian) country have many of the same enemies. We are labeled as big satan and Israel little satan.

We share the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yes I know, in order to be saved they much receive Jesus as Saviour.

John 14:6
King James Version
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

....and one day soon, following a time of Jacob’s troubles they will, as a nation receive her Messiah.

Zechariah 13:6
King James Version
6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

We have been blessed as a nation to the extent that we support Israel.

Genesis 12:3
King James Version
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

One day God will judge the nations as to whether we supported Israel (the sheep nations), or opposed Israel (the goat nations). Matthew chapter 25

Others can dispute this, but I also believe to some degree that judgement is active presently.

The Land Of Israel is God’s. He has made a Covenant with Israel that the land has been deeded to the Jews, and one day soon those borders will even be enlarged. Genesis chapter 15:

18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

That land is also NOT to be divided/parted. God warns those that push a two state agenda.

Joel 3:2
King James Version
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Look at the condition of our country as to how divided we currently are.

Here is an interesting correlation regarding that issue:

The Newsweak headline is misleading, at best.

All the GOP opposition is in the Senate.

House Republicans are either silent, or in vocal support.

I’m glad Johnson is separating bills. That alone justifies giving Kevin McCarthy the pink slip.

I am against funding any more foreign wars, whether Ukraine or Israel, particularly while we’re being invaded across our open borders.

The usual RINO crew of traitors. Why they keep getting elected demonstrates a frightening stupidity from their constituents.

These are not Republicans. They are paid w........

Ignore them. Demand individual votes on individual expenditures — highlight the support.

I am in favor of separate, single-topic bills for every major expenditure. That is the way a legislature is supposed to work.

Support for the Israeli wars? Negotiate an amount and do an up or down vote.

Support for the Ukraine war? Negotiate an amount and do an up or down vote.

Cutback the plan for 87,000 armed agents of the IRS? Negotiate an amount and do an up or down vote.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

All that voting cuts into legislator's time for fundraising and junket trips? TFB for them. Get back to work.

Are they afraid they may not be able to collect their usual kickbacks from the Ukrainians?

“Graham, Romney, McConnell, Tillis, Susan Collins

The typical RINOs Senator.”

These traitors do not fit the description of a Republican in any way, shape or form, much like the overwhelming majority of GOP Sinators and congressapes.

They are Deputy Democrats. Period.

“All bills should be stand alone.”

That can’t be stated too often.

The real benefit of doing single topic bills is Congress won’t have the time to get around them all. That has the potential of reducing spending.

The Zeeper substitutes Russia in place of Iran because they are still looking to confuse the fact that they want to try and make the Russian connection in order to keep the gravy train rolling for Ukraine.

Israel is in their way.

I thought it was 100 billion with only 10 billion for Israel. So this is a lie. News week has no shame.
