No outrage? I’m guessing black officer.
That is a BIG possiability. Recently a similar thing happened in DC where 3 “teens” were breaking into a guys car and threatened him, he defended himself and shot one of them. There was outrage for a hot minute until it was found out the guy was a black city worker with ties to the mayor. Poof! Media coverage gone quicker than you can say “Saint Floyd”.
An officer who avoided getting ‘defunded’??
Yup. Noticed that, too.
“No outrage? I’m guessing black officer.”
I read a study funded, if I recall, by the FBI. I was unable to find it but here are the findings I remember. After interviewing a large number of officers and reviewing the available data the study concluded that a black officer was far more likely to shoot a black suspect than a white officer. The article gave mathematical percentages, but I don’t recall them. The findings said that the black officer believed he was in more danger from a black suspect than from a white suspect. A white officer was held back from acting in his own defense because of what he perceived as a potentially career ending event if he shot a black suspect.
