“No outrage? I’m guessing black officer.”
I read a study funded, if I recall, by the FBI. I was unable to find it but here are the findings I remember. After interviewing a large number of officers and reviewing the available data the study concluded that a black officer was far more likely to shoot a black suspect than a white officer. The article gave mathematical percentages, but I don’t recall them. The findings said that the black officer believed he was in more danger from a black suspect than from a white suspect. A white officer was held back from acting in his own defense because of what he perceived as a potentially career ending event if he shot a black suspect.
I remember reading about that one as well.
