Thankfully the diversity and alphabet people fail out of the system. A few will get promoted thou and that is where the trouble lies. Once the system is full of diverse alphabet people things will break down.
Glad I don’t fly any longer. Now I just have to worry that the planes above my home pass with no incident.
This last trip I heard the guy in the tower at KGON berating students both at night and during the day. Clearly the student was way in over his head and making big mistakes ‘lost sight of the airport’ mistakes. The aswipe in the tower let him have it with both barrels. The weak will wash out and things will be fine. It is when the weak are allowed to pass to the next level that the trouble starts.
And planes crash into each other.
Maintaining a society dependent on technology requires a pure meritocracy when it comes to operating the key systems. Nothing else will do.
I can understand situations where ‘diversity’ might well help a company or organization. But others just make no sense.
Female firefighters don’t bring anything unique to the fire party. A woman’s perspective on a fire means nothing to the fire and it certainly doesn’t help to put the fire out. As for dragging my unconscious 250# self out of a fire, most women are going to be of much less help to me than the man they took the job from.
So what benefits does ‘diversity’ bring to Air Traffic Control? Do blacks, women, Hispanics and the handicapped have different concepts of what two airplanes occupying the same space at the same time means? I think not.
Like the situation of firefighters, the ‘diversity’ goal is all about giving what are considered ‘good jobs’ to favored groups, not about improving performance of the job at hand.
Die Hard——Love that snow!
This diversity ATC thing has been going on for some time now.
I’ll never forget the diversity idiot that cleared me to take off right into an airplane he just cleared to land. He got confused over a simple traffic pattern.
Make the FAA as incompetent as the USPS!!! Now why did I think of that?!?!
Certainly a place where ‘diversity is our greatest strength’!
So glad I no longer have to fly for work. I pity those that must.
Make sure your financial house is in order and that your nearest and dearest know of your wishes and where all of the important paperwork is kept! :(
(That’s good advice no matter what line of work you’re in.)
What could possibly go wrong when you hire based on ethnicity rather than competence?
Oh yeah, thousands could die. But hey, as long as a brown, gay, or foreign born person was hired, it’s all worth it
You be cleared to land, bra.
Why not diversity hiring for brain surgeons?
This is a MUST see & share.

This is GREAT…. Whoever did it.
Whoever made this mini-doc on Washington politicians narrated by A.I. David Attenborough, I love you
air safety by affirmative action.
This has been going on for a long time. In the early 1990s a Washington Times article quoted from the FAA’s Southwest Regional Managers Handbook telling managers to not let qualifications get in the way of meeting diversity goals.
I don’t think Air Traffic Control is quite where you want to send far-left Affirmative Action Heroes.
This is scary as hell.
Unintelligibly “diverse” announcements over the loudspeakers was the highlight of many a train ride and while waiting at the station.
What are a few mid-air collisions and near misses. Diversity uber alles!
